Fish Health Training

What makes fish happy?  New, online courses let fish culturists in on the secret.

New online courses available through the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Aquaculture Program can help fish culturists, farmers and producers become more knowledgeable and effective in managing fish health at their facility.  Although originally designed for veterinarians looking to expand their knowledge of aquatic pets and livestock, the online course developed by Drs. Chris Hartleb, Myron Kebus, and Jeannette McDonald are accessible to anyone, and can help you to develop a better understanding of fish health management.  The courses cover the basics of fish health, risk management and biosecurity, water quality, how to prepare for fish health inspections, understanding and getting the most out of a fish health inspection, and concludes with case studies to tie it all together.
